Rodrigo Lopez

Rodrigo López is the founder, President and CEO of AmeriSphere, a provider of capital solutions for the multifamily industry. AmeriSphere is a Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) and a FHA and MAP Lender, engaged in originating, underwriting, closing and servicing multifamily mortgage loans throughout the United States. AmeriSphere provides private label CMBS debt, as well as private label debt and equity for multifamily affordable housing.

Before founding AmeriSphere, Mr. López was Chief Lending Officer for a life insurance company, responsible for investments in commercial mortgage loans and real estate properties. During his tenure in the architecture and construction industry, he worked on a wide range of commercial and institutional projects.

Mr. Lopez currently serves as Director on the Boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Omaha Branch, Camp Fire USA Midlands Council, and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, the Governing Board of the Greater Omaha Alliance for Business Ethics, and also serves on the Advisory Boards of Omaha's Habitat for Humanity and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Business Administration, and on the Fannie Mae DUS Advisory Council and The University of Nebraska President's Advisory Council. Mr. Lopez is Winners Circle Captain for Field Club Elementary School.

He is past Chairman of Fannie Mae's DUS Advisory Council. Previously, Mr. López served on the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority ("NIFA"), the Board of Directors and the Commercial/Multifamily Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Mortgage Association, the Nebraska Community Foundation, the United Way of the Midlands, the Great Plains Girls Scout Council, the University of Nebraska at Omaha Alumni Association, and the Omaha Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Lopez is a past member of Fannie Mae's Housing Impact Advisory Council, Fannie Mae's National Advisory Council and former Chairman of the City of Omaha Planning Board.

In 2004, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, College of Business Administration. In 2002, Mr. Lopez received the Alumnus Achievement Award from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Burton C. Wood Legislative Service Award from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He received the 2001 Man of the Year Award from the Omaha Chapter of Rho Epsilon Professional Real Estate Fraternity. In 2000, he received the Master Faculty Award from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. Other awards include the Nebraska Mortgage Association Lender of the Year (2000); Great Plains Girl Scouts Council Volunteer of the Year (1994); and Ten Outstanding Young Omahans (1986).

Mr. López is a Certified Mortgage Banker and a graduate of the MBA's School of Mortgage Banking. He received B.S. and MBA Degrees from the University of Nebraska.
