The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE)

The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) seeks to advance international dialogue and inform policies that expand opportunties for women throughout the world. Its primary aim is to advance gender aware inquiry into economic matters through research on issues important to the well-being and empowerment of women worldwide – including gender perspectives on aging, caring labor, structural adjustment, macroeconomic policies, trade, government budgets on health and education, financial policies, migration, and employment.

IAFFE’s award winning, peer review journal, Feminist Economics, provides an open forum for dialogue and debate about economic issues.

IAFFE has approximately 580 members in 64 countries. While the majority of IAFFE’s members are economists, the group also includes scholars in other disciplines, students, activists, and policy makers.
