Financial Aid

Students accepted into the MAIAA program are guaranteed full funding for both years of the program. This is accomplished through graduate assistant positions that provide the following during both year 1 and year 2 of the program:
  • Tuition waiver
  • Monthly stipend
  • Coverage of 79% of student health insurance premium, which includes dental and pharmacy

1st Year Graduate Assistantship

First year MAIAA students GA within the College of Business Administration (CBA) a maximum of twenty hours per week within one of the following departments. Departments do accept multiple students as GA’s.

  • Department of Management
  • Department of Economics
  • Department of Marketing
  • Department of Finance
  • Teaching BSAD 150 – Basic Skills Computer Course
  • Office of Marketing, Communications and External Relations

As a graduate assistant in CBA, students are assigned many professional assignments including assisting professors with teaching/grading courses, completing departmental research, as well as providing administrative support to faculty/staff.

Students are placed in CBA GA positions by assignment upon admittance into the program.

Richard DeFusco Dr. Richard DeFusco talks with graduate students, and is one of the many professors that facilitates the graduate assistantship opportunities vital to the success of our students.

2nd Year Graduate Assistantship

Second year MAIAA students GA within the Nebraska Department of Athletics a maximum of twenty hours per week within one of the following departments. These GA positions are solicited only to MAIAA program students.

  • Academic Programs and Student Services
  • Life Skills
  • Business Office
  • Capital Planning and Construction
  • Communications
  • Development/Ticketing
  • Digital Media
  • Event Management
  • HuskerVision
  • Marketing and Fan Experience
  • Sports Analytics
  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Venue Technology

Students are placed in an internship based on mutual interest by both the student and the department and a professional interview process.
