The economics students of today are versatile thinkers and problem-solvers who will provide leadership in the 21st century.

Economics majors will gain an advanced knowledge in economic reasoning and explore the major issues that confront this nation.

Economics Students can look forward to careers in banking, insurance, brokerage, financial services, corporate consulting and government. It is also a popular major for students planning to enter professional and graduate programs, particularly in law, foreign service, labor relations or business administration.

Students interested in business frequently choose to major in economics in the College of Business Administration, whereas students desiring academic or government employment often major in economics in the College of Arts and Sciences.
