Program Overview

Spanish bullfight The program will begin in Aix-en-Provence, France and after spending several days with a host family, students will travel together to Barcelona, Spain. After competing in Husker Races in both locations (Think of the TV show, The Amazing Race), students will travel as a group to Valencia, Spain. Here students will take classes with a UNL faculty member as well as from IAU professors. Students will participate in an internship project and will work as a team to prepare a consulting report (in English) for the Spanish company.

Courses of Study

Business and non-business students will be presented with a consulting project and will also compete in a global business competition, Husker Race of Spain. (Think of the TV show, The Amazing Race or a scavenger hunt). No prior knowledge of Spanish language is required to participate in this program.

Course Credit: Students earn 6 hours in MNGT/ENTR 321, MNGT 365 (ACE 6 or 9), MNGT 399 and/or BSAD 491. Spanish language credit may be available as well.

Living Arrangements

Students will stay with host families while in Aix-en-Provence, in hotels or student residence while in Barcelona, and in a student residence while in Valencia.

Application Process

Although the program has a special appeal for business students, any UNL undergraduate student in good standing is eligible to apply. Film students are encouraged to apply as well as there is need to film the Husker Races. A 3.0 GPA is preferred. Strong motivation will be favorably considered for students with a 2.5 GPA.
