In addition to the scholarships awarded by the
University, the Forrest C. Blood Scholarship, a freshman honors scholarship
offered by the College of Business Administration, is awarded to approximately 10
new freshmen each year. As with University scholarships, by applying for admission and submitting
complete admissions application materials, you will be automatically considered
for the Forrest C. Blood Scholarship.
Additional scholarships are available for students who have completed 12 credit
hours at the University as students in the College of Business Administration. These
scholarships are awarded to outstanding students depending upon major, extracurricular
activities, grade point average, and financial need.
The College of Arts and Sciences also provides scholarship opportunities for its
students. The Dean's Office, in conjunction with the College Committee on Academic
Distinction and Awards for Students, chooses recipients for College scholarships
and also recommends students for some University scholarships. To be considered
for these scholarships, you must be enrolled full-time and currently attending Nebraska
at the time of application. You also must complete the College's Undergraduate Scholarship
Application Form. Selection criteria may include the grade point average, the major
or pre-professional program of study, financial need, class standing, and co-curricular
activities. Amounts range from $300 to $3,000 and some scholarships are renewable.
