The faculty of the Marketing Department present graduate students awards for contributions to the department during the academic year.
The Award for Excellence in Teaching by a Graduate Student is presented to a graduate student who is at least in their second year. Criteria for this award include teaching evaluations, course structure and overall contributions to students.
The Award for Excellence in Research by a Graduate Student is presented to a graduate student based upon their research productivity. Criteria for this award are the number of publications in journals and research presentations at national and international conferences.
The Baker Award for Excellence in Service by a Graduate Student is presented to a graduate student, which is voted on not only by the faculty, but with feedback from fellow doctoral students and staff members. The service award is presented to the graduate student who is the best "departmental citizen," who supports their fellow students, participates actively in hosting the Nebraska Doctoral Symposium and participates actively in the doctoral student group.

This award, presented by the Office of Graduate Studies, recognizes the excellent quality of research carried out by UNL graduate students.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Graduate Teaching Assistant Award has been established as a part of the Awards Program of the Nebraska Alumni Association. The award honors outstanding teaching, provides encouragement and incentive for teaching excellence, and emphasizes the importance of teaching to the well being of Nebraska. The names of award recipients are displayed on a permanent plaque in the Wick Alumni Center.
