Blackboard for Instructors
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Join us as we explore the Blackboard Learning Management System. Blackboard allows you to give your students access to your course content 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also allows you to communicate via email with your students, track how often students access your course, and so much more. And it's so easy! This session covers designing and setting up your course, adding content, creating electronin assignments, using the gradebook, and other main features of Blackboard to get you started.

PRS "Clicker" System
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

You can use the Interwrite Personal Response System (clickers) in any classroom to stimulate discussions, keep students engaged and gauge student comprehension. The PRS system makes it possible to easily track and record each student's response and to provide instant feedback about the response results in the form of a graph or chart showing the response distribution.

Blackboard Part 2 for Instructors
Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Want to know more about the powerful features of Blackboard? The Course Content system allows you to share documents between courses and other users and edit in only one place. Create surveys and tests that Blackboard not only grades for you but posts the grades to the gradebook. This session will cover working with groups, creating surveys and tests, using the content system and an overview of the collaboration tools in Blackboard.

CBA reserves the right to cancel classes that do not have sufficient enrollment and will notify registrants.
