The Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance allows the College of Business Administration to provide students free access to Microsoft development software products. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit hour of CBA coursework.

Instructions

1. Review available MSDNAA software below.
2. Pickup a MSDNAA Student Use Guidelines form at the CBA Help Desk Room 23. Raikes School students, contact the main office at Kauffman for access.
3. Fill out the form, review the guidelines, sign, and return to Help Desk Staff. Be sure to include a valid email address (note: Hotmail addresses will not be accepted).
4. The MSDNAA Program Administrator will enter your email address into the MSDNAA system. The system will automatically generate your login and password details, and will email them to the address you provided.
5. Follow the instructions on the email you receive to log into the MSDNAA website and obtain the necessary software.
6. If you do not receive your email within 24 hours of submitting the form, contact the MSDNAA Program Administrator at

Note about .iso files: Some software packages will download in .iso format. An .iso file is an image of a CD or DVD. In order to access the setup program contained within the .iso file, you need to extract the .iso file. There are a number of extraction programs that can be used for this purpose that are free or have free trial periods, including WinRAR (http://www.rarlab.com) and 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org). Once the .iso file has been extracted to a folder on your computer, you can run the setup program within that folder to install the software.
