The Leading Economic Indicator – Nebraska (LEI-N) rose by 1.16% in April 2013. This increase in the LEI-N, which is designed to predict economic growth six months in the future, follows a decline in March.

Elinor Ostrom was awarded the Nobel Prize for economic sciences in 2009. Not only was she the first woman to receive this honor she was a relative unknown in the economics profession. Dr. Ann Mari May interviewed Ostrom less than a year before she died and published the interview in the journal Feminist Economics.
