The coaches will mentor more than 750 first-year business students in Professional Enhancement I Investing in Strengths (BSAD 111).

Every fall, first-year students in the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln identify their strengths and integrate into the CBA community by taking the required Professional Enhancement I (BSAD 111) course. They  use the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment to identify their strengths, participate in group activities and learn from guest speakers who explain how their strengths help them in their respective fields.

The fifth annual University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration Employer Partners Day welcomed 79 people representing 52 companies to Innovation Campus on Tuesday, May 17. In total 113 attended the event. Career Services at CBA hosted the event and presented awards for Employer of the Year to Union Pacific Railroad, and the newly created Sue Vagts Faculty/Staff Partner of the Year to Sue Vagts, director of the UNL actuarial science program. Vagts also received the distinction of having the new award named after her.

The Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration hosted Entrepreneuring Days, April 5-6, at the City Union and the Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. The event featured two new venture competitions with 64 teams, the Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards Banquet and three special programs for competitors new to this year’s event.

The Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) student organization at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln welcomed 400 Nebraska high school students to the Nebraska Union on February 1 to take part in the American Business Competition (ABC). The competition serves as a preparatory event for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students wanting to compete in FBLA local and national events later in the year.

The Clifton Foundation and Gallup announced a $30 million gift to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to establish the Don Clifton Strengths Institute to further the mission of the late Donald O. Clifton through a long-term partnership with the College of Business Administration.
