Join thousands of alumni and stay connected to CBA.We want you to help us START SOMETHING by reuniting with fellow alumni.
CBA currently has 13 advisory boards with over 200 members who meet at least twice during the year
to bring insight from the business community to the departments and programs. Board members include
alumni and friends of the college who are dedicated to promoting CBA and advising leaders who
continue to make the college a world-class institution.
CBA Advisory Boards
This program invites businesses to campus to interact with students in a variety of settings that
allow both employers and potential interns and employees to explore opportunities. Businesses can
host information booths, lunch and learn sessions for faculty and/or students and meet
with students groups.
Employer in Residence
Held annually, this event is an opportunity to create new connections with UNL administration,
faculty and staff and learn how to enhance your presence on campus. Presentations from CBA faculty
and staff, breakout sessions and a keynote luncheon offer networking opportunities with key
members of the college.
Employer Partners Day
CBA graduates willing to share their collegiate journey, career path or offer key advice to
students are always welcome. We have student groups as well as classes looking for volunteers
to share experiences and insight with CBA students. (Note, this is a personal reflection; recruiting
opportunities are better served via employer in residence activities.)
Annual career fairs provide an ideal environment for business and industry members to network with
students from the university who are interested in internships, part-time employment and careers.
Even in today's age of online communication, there is still no better way to introduce yourself
than with a firm handshake.
