The Start Something 48 Hour Challenge is an opportunity to experience the highs, lows, fun and pressure that make up life at a startup. Students from all colleges and majors are welcome. The event is free of charge for students and all meals are provided, including pizza on Friday evening.

Start Something 48 Hour Challenge Agenda
Friday, February 24, starts at 5:30 p.m. Students arrive -- with or without startup ideas. If you have an idea for a product or service, you will pitch it to the group. Everyone votes on the top ideas, and then networks to evaluate possible teams to work with over the weekend. Students form teams around ideas that they think are are the best fit for their skills and interests. Some teams work late into the night and others prefer to rest up in preparation for Saturday. Pizza is provided for dinner Friday evening.
Saturday, February 25 After breakfast, everyone gets a quick primer on problem identification and market validation. Teams then dive into customer discovery, adn receive feedback and advice from local entrepreneurs, investors and business mentors. This is the day to work on your business model, put a prototype together, and exit the building or hit the phones to talk to potential customers.
Sunday, February 26 Breakfast is followed by a pitch workshop. Teams continue to work on their projects, putting the finishing touches on their products and pitches. The weekend culminates with presentations to the crowd and a panel of experts. The event is tentatively scheduled to end at 7 p.m.
