More about Entrepreneurship Days

What are Entrepreneurship Days?

Entrepreneurship Days were started to teach non-business majors about the realities of the business world. Graduates realized that although they didn't study business, they needed to know about it. Many majors have a high percentage of graduates that start their own firms, practices, or companies but have little or no business education. Various colleges along with the help of the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship hope to address this problem through E-Days!

The Hixson-Lied College of Fine & Performing Arts was the first college to have an Entrepreneurship day on February 7, 2004. Followed by College of Engineering that have their first Entrepreneruship day on February 19, 2005.

What happens at an E-day?

E-days are an entire day of interactive sessions about how to start, market, finance, and run your business. We bring in experts from all areas of your major to tell you about what it's like to have your own business or what aspects of business you will have to deal with in your company. It's also a great chance to network with local business people and find both financial aid and advice to help you start your career! Lunch and snacks are provided throughout the day.
