Student Organizations

Mentoring Program

There are two organizations in entrepreneurship that students can join while they are studying at UNL. Kathy Thornton is the faculty advisor for these organizations. If you are interested in these organizations, please send an e-mail message to the Email or call 402-472-3353.

Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, Inc. (CEO)

This organization was established to purchase the Morrill Hall gift shop, Dinosaurs, etc. Dinosaurs, etc. is a student-owned and operated gift shop. It gives the students a unique opportunity to apply what they are learning in class. University class projects have been conducted for the gift shop. Instead of learning theory only, these classes provide hands-on experience to the students.

Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE)

SIFE's purpose is to establish and direct student-generated free market economy education programs. This is accomplished through outreach projects by students within a community. The students in this organization compete against other university students at regional and national levels. You can view their homepage at http://www.firefly.unl.edu/sife/.
