Another year is upon us, and I am excited to see students fill the halls of CBA again. We have made some amazing new faculty hires to support our programs in the college and continue our tradition of educating future business leaders. I cannot express how excited we are to have these individuals joining the CBA team – there are many great things ahead of us!
· The School of Accountancy
welcomes three new professors: Keith Czerney, University of Illinois; Biyu Wu, University of Connecticut; and Joel Owens, University of South Carolina.
· The Department of Finance
has hired three new professors: Julian Atanassoc, University of Oregon; Liying Wang, University of South Carolina; and Roberto Stein, University of Florida.
· The Department of Management
will have a number of new faces joining the team: Christina Carnes, Texas A&M; Jake Messersmith, University of Nebraska at Kearney; and Jon O’Brien, Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute, will join as professors of management. Ozgur Araz, University of Nebraska Medical Center, has signed on as a professor of business analytics. Jennifer Ryan, Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute, and Majid Nabavi, Bellevue University, will join as assistant professors in supply chain management.
· The Department of
Economics announces Christopher Mann, University of Alabama, as joined the department.
· Additional hires in CBA leadership include the following: John Osiri, Washington State University, will be the new director of international business and associate professor of practice in management; and Dennis Lanham, Georgia State, will take over as the director of executive education.
