Biography
Heng Chen is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

His primary research interest is in the application of stochastic methods and data analytics for service improvement and cost reduction in the service sector, such as the airline industry. His secondary research interests involve newly arising supply chain management problems resulting from the use of unmanned aircraft systems technology. His methodological expertise is in stochastic modeling and optimization, and his overall research goal is to make stochastic methods and data analytics utilizable for practical decision making in problems that he studies. His work has been published in several journals, including Production and Operations Management.
