Mission

The mission of the CBA IT Services department is to provide innovative, contemporary and accessible information technology to enable students, faculty and staff of the University of Nebraska to effectively meet their goals as a learning community. To accomplish this mission, CBA ITS works collaboratively with the university community to provide technological leadership which emphasizes empowerment of the individual through the use of technology.

To achieve this mission, the Information Technology Services Team believes that

  • Staff must share in the department's vision;
  • Staff must have respect for their co-workers;
  • Staff must take pride in their job and the work that they do;
  • Technology maximizes productivity and efficiency;
  • A well trained staff will ensure systems are maintained properly;
  • Teamwork and Trust are key factors to the department's success;
  • Staff must have high expectations of themselves and their coworkers;
  • Employee job satisfaction leads to greater productivity;
  • The department must be a leader not a follower.

The department provides services in four key areas: Instructional Support and Training, Server Administration and Support, Technical Services, and Web Development and Maintenance.
