Education:

Professor Keng Siau received his Ph.D. degree in Business Administration in 1996 from the University of British Columbia (UBC) (in Vancouver, Canada) where he majored in Management Information Systems (MIS) and minored in Cognitive Psychology. UBC is a top research university in Canada and one of the best research schools in the world. His M.S. and B.S. degrees are in Information and Computer Sciences from the National University of Singapore, which is ranked as one of the top 25 universities in the world.

Teaching Awards:
Professor Siau received the 2000/2001 University of Nebraska-Lincoln Distinguished Teaching Award.

Professor Siau received the 2000/2001 College of Business Administration Distinguished Teaching Award.

Leadership and Service Awards:
Professor Siau received the IFIP Outstanding Service Award in 2006. IFIP stands for International Federation for Information Processing and has a total membership of over half a million.

Professor Siau received the Outstanding Leader Award given by the Information Resource Management Association (IRMA) in the year 2004.

Professor Siau received the Organizational Leadership Award given by the Information Resource Management Association (IRMA) in the year 2000.

Refereed Publications:

Professor Siau has more than 200 academic publications. He has edited/co-edited 15+ scholarly books, more than ten journal special issues, and nine proceedings. He has published 90+ refereed journal articles, 100+ refereed conference papers, and 20+ refereed book chapters.
Funding and Grants:
Professor Siau has received more than $3 million of funding and hardware/software grants from NSF, Research Council of Norway, University of Nebraska, IBM, and other IT companies.

Service to the research community:
Professor Siau is the founder of the International Workshop on Evaluation of Modeling Methods in Systems Analysis and Design (EMMSAD). He served as the EMMSAD Organizing and Program Chairs/Co-chairs from 1996-2005.

Professor Siau served on the Organizing Committees of AMCIS 2005, ER 2006, and AMCIS 2007.

Professor Siau chaired a number of tracks/minitracks for the America Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), and International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS).

In addition, he has served on the program committees of 100+ international conferences/workshops.
