The Marketing Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Practice (PoP), 80%
teaching (four sections each fall and spring semesters, or annual equivalent) of marketing
classes and 20% service. Successful candidates will be expected to be significantly involved
in the Department and College's teaching mission and teach a variety of courses at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. As a member, will be expected to participate (as appropriate
in the governance of the Department and College of Business Administration) in academic policy
making, and in a variety of non-class activities such as advising students and student organizations.
Applicants must have a Master's degree. A PhD or DBA in marketing preferred. Significant professional
experience if Master’s degree only.
Under the leadership of Dean Donde Plowman and Associate Deans Kathy Farrell and Ravi Sohi,
the research, teaching, and engagement missions of the College have been significantly refocused
to align with the university's entrance into the Big Ten.
