Professor Keng Siau received his Ph.D. degree in Business Administration in 1996 from the University of British Columbia (UBC) (in Vancouver, Canada) where he majored in Management Information Systems (MIS) and minored in Cognitive Psychology. UBC is a top research university in Canada and consistently ranked as one of the best research schools in the world. Professor Siau's M.S. and B.S. (Hons) degrees are in Information and Computer Sciences from the National University of Singapore, which is ranked as one of the top 30 universities in the world by The QS World University Rankings. Professor Siau is serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the top-ranked Journal of Database Management, which has an impact factor of 2.0 and an immediacy index of 1.368. Professor Siau is also the North America Regional Editor of the Requirements Engineering journal, which has an impact factor of 1.625.Research Interests:

Best Paper Award – The Second Annual Workshop on HCI Research in MIS, 2003Teaching: Professor Siau received the 2000/2001 University of Nebraska-Lincoln Distinguished Teaching Award. Professor Siau received the 2000/2001 College of Business Administration Distinguished Teaching Award.
Leadership and Service: Professor Siau received the second Outstanding Leader Award from the Information Resource Management Association (IRMA) in 2008. Professor Siau received the IFIP Outstanding Service Award in 2006. IFIP stands for International Federation for Information Processing and has a total membership of over half a million. Professor Siau received the Outstanding Leader Award from the Information Resource Management Association (IRMA) in 2004. Professor Siau received the Organizational Leadership Award given by the Information Resource Management Association (IRMA) in 2000.

Professor Siau has published 250+ academic works. He has 100+ journal papers and 100+ conference papers. In addition, he has edited/co-edited 15+ scholarly books, 10+ journal special issues, and 9 conference proceedings.
