Biography
Dr. Yanxin Liu earned his Ph.D. in actuarial science from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, in 2016. His research interests include mortality modeling and forecasting, mortality-linked security pricing, mortality/longevity risk measurement and management, and structural time series.
 
Liu co-authored “The Age Pattern of Transitory Mortality Jumps and Its Impact on the Pricing of Catastrophic Mortality Bonds” in Insurance: Mathematics and Economics. His dissertation is titled “Modeling and Managing Longevity Risk: Models and Applications.”
