Born and raised on a small dairy and grain operation in southwest Nebraska Lance has grown up in agriculture. Previously Lance worked as an Extension Educator for the University of Nebraska and provided leadership at many of the state's 4-H livestock events along with Leadership Development training for both youth and adult audiences. As a graduate student Lance studied the relationships between employees' sources of motivation and their Organizational Citizenship Behaviors and worked with the UNL Pork Central on waste management and marketing projects.
