The CBA Study Abroad Photo Contest is open to all University of Nebraska-Lincoln
CBA students who have studied abroad on any of the CBA or UNL sponsored programs
including, but not limited to, the Nebraska at Oxford, Senshu, China, CIMBA (Italy)
and ESCEM (France) programs. Non-CBA students who participate in a CBA sponsored
study abroad program are also eligible to enter the contest.
- All entrants must complete and submit a Photo Contest Entry Form for their entries
to be considered.
- All entries must be original photographs taken by the student or featuring the student
while participating in a study abroad program or exchange.
- Photos should be representative of the student’s study abroad experience and country.
- Up to three total photographs may be submitted by each student in any combination
of the three categories.
- For example: Entrants may submit one photo for “Best overall” and two for “Best
display of distinctive landmarks, cityscapes or landscapes unique to a country”
for a total of three submitted photos.
- Photographs may be black-and-white or color.
- If you submit more than one photo, please make sure to number/label the photos accordingly.
- Entries must be submitted digitally through the online entry website.
- Please submit the highest resolution version you have (300 dpi or higher).
- Photos should be .jpg files.
Photo submissions including the photo contest entry form should be submitted through
the online application by 5:00 PM on September 30.

- Best display of distinctive landmarks, cityscapes or landscapes unique to a country
- Category 3
- Best display of a student, or students, experiencing the culture, interacting with
locals or exploring their new environment
Photos will be judged by the professional staff of the CBA Dean’s Office for Undergraduate
Programs based on originality, creativity and representation of culture and their
study abroad experience. Winners will be announced by the end of the fall semester.
UNL retains the right to use your photos in print and online publications and marketing
initiatives and displays. UNL also retains the right not to consider or display
photos that do not meet the submission rules and guidelines or that are deemed inappropriate.
Prizes will be presented to the winner of each category listed above.
The “Best Overall Photograph” winner will receive an iPod Shuffle donated by the
UNL Computer and Phone Store. The winning photo itself will be enlarged and displayed
on the Study Abroad 'Wall of Fame' in the College of Business Administration Undergraduate
Programs Office (Advising Center).
The winners of “Best display of distinctive landmarks, cityscapes or landscapes
unique to a country” and “Best display of a student, or students, experiencing the
culture, interacting with locals or exploring their new environment” will receive
gifts from either the UNL Bookstore, Runza Restaurants or Planet Sub.
CBA would like to send out a special thank you to the UNL Computer and Phone Store,
