Scholarships

Study Abroad
  • All Academy students that complete their admissions application by January 15, 2013 will be considered for all merit-based scholarships
  • All Academy Scholars will receive a $500 per year Honors Program textbook scholarship**
  • $2,500 scholarship for all Academy students choosing to participate in an Education Abroad experience*

** - Must remain in good standing in the UNL Honors Program.

* - Paid following the sophomore year to students in good standing in the CBA Honors Academy and participating in a study abroad experience.


Selection Criteria

  • ACT of at least 27 (or SAT of at least 1220)
  • Demonstrated leadership potential
  • Campus interview (Skype interviews are allowed for students residing more than 100 miles from UNL. Skype free download and instructions.)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Early application deadline is November 15, with interviews in January. Final application deadline is March 1, with interviews in late March.
  • Transfer students will be considered in the late-March interview round on a space-available basis.

Student Requirements

  • Students accepted into the CBA Honor Academy are automatically accepted into the UNL Honors Program
  • To maintain good standing in the UNL Honors Program, students must:
    1) Be a full-time student (at least 12 hours of credit per semester)
    2) Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
    3) Complete a 189H honors course and 395H honors course with a grade of B or better
    4) Complete at least 24 credit hours of honors courses with a grade of B or better
    5) Complete the honors section of MNGT475
