Over 400 CBA Students Graduate at Spring 2012 Ceremony
More than 400 students graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Administration this spring. They were part of the largest graduation class in the history of UNL with over 2,800 students receiving degrees.

Reinertson Brothers Continue Husker Tradition of Academic Success
Brothers Jordan and Josh Reinertson, who came to the College of Business Administration from Gibbon, Neb., were both awarded the distinction of Highest Honors for their academic achievements at the 2012 Student-Athlete Recognition Banquet. Overall, 84 CBA student-athletes were honored -- the most of any college.

UNL SIFE Team Named Champions of Their League in Regionals
UNL Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) were named Champions of their League while competing against other SIFE teams from across the country. The regionals were held in Chicago, and the UNL team will now go on to compete at the national tournament in Kansas City in May.

Shannon McCoy Studies Financial Literacy in UCARE Project
The UNL UCARE program allows undergraduate students the chance to practice developing their own research project under the tutelage of a faculty sponsor. Shannon McCoy was one of 17 business students who worked on a UCARE project this past school year.

MBA Student Lindsey Eastwood Walks for Life with Her Mom and Fellow Students
Lindsey Eastwood, vice president of the UNL MBA Student Association, participates in a labor of love each year at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Eastwood's mother is a cancer survivor who joins with her daughter for the fund raising event.

New Business Minor for Non-Business Students to Serve Entire University
This fall the UNL College of Business Administration will offer a new undergraduate business minor designed for non-business students. The new minor requires students to take 18 credit hours of business courses and is open to students from all colleges across campus.

Emily Koopmann's Big Time Success from Small Town Beginnings
Emily Koopmann came to the UNL College of Business Administration from a graduating class of 64 students in Raymond, Neb. She's accomplished much during her time at CBA including being named Homecoming Queen last fall. Now she's being featured in a UNL video spotlight.

Students at CBA are making a habit of competing and winning in an online business management simulation that includes over 3,500 students worldwide. Shad Kearns captured first place during the fall 2011 semester before graduating with degrees in both finance and marketing.

Business Ethics Program Receives Boost from State Farm Insurance
State Farm Insurance gave a $15,000 grant to the CBA Business Ethics Program. The grant will help publish a business ethics booklet and create a code of ethics reference card for students. State Farm will also sponsor an ethics lecture in the fall.
