The Center for Entrepreneurship will host the Start Something 48-Hour Challenge during the weekend of January 26-28 at Howard L. Hawks Hall. This event is open to students of all majors and colleges at the University of NebraskaLincoln. It costs just $10, which includes all meals, a t-shirt and prizes for the winners.

More than 80 students presented their business ideas at the ninth annual 3-2-1 Quick Pitch on Friday, November 10. Held at the West Memorial Stadium Club Level Suites, the event hosted by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Center for Entrepreneurship provided the opportunity for high school and college students to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges in three minutes.

Mike Dunlap ’86 returned to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as the 2017 College of  Business Master, Nov. 1-3. As a part of Masters Week, the founder and executive chairman of the board of Nelnet emphasized the determination it takes to succeed and grow a startup into a viable business. Every year the Nebraska Alumni Association hosts a group of alumni masters who have created lasting impressions in their professional careers. These masters, nominated by each college, come to campus to share their knowledge and experiences with students, faculty and staff.

Five student teams competed to build the scariest tower in the festive Innovation Challenge held by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Center for Entrepreneurship. The competition required students to use a pumpkin, 10 dollars and a Center for Entrepreneurship t-shirt as part of their structure which culminated with a construction project on the lawn of the Selleck Quadrangle.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Center for Entrepreneurship will host the ninth annual 3-2-1 Quick Pitch Competition on Friday, November 10, 3-6 p.m. at the Memorial Stadium Club Level Suites inside the west entrance. Students who want to participate must apply by Friday, November 3. The public is invited to watch the pitches and attend the event’s award ceremony.
