Dr. Ozgur Araz joins CBA from the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he was an assistant professor in the College of Public Health. He received his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at The University of Texas at Austin, where he also worked as a lecturer in the McCombs School of Business.
His research interests include systems modeling and simulation, business analytics, healthcare operations management, public health, stochastic modeling and heuristics.
Araz’s published research includes “Point-of-dispensing location and capacity optimization via a decision support system” in Production and Operations Management and “Simulation Modeling for Pandemic Decision Making: A Case Study with Bi-criteria Analysis on School Closures” in Decision Support Systems.
